EVENT SCHEDULE
Trial Hours: 9:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M. (unless runs are completed. )
Roll Call and Inspections begin at 9:00 AM for Pre-Entries running at 9:30 A.M. We will have “rolling inspections” and runs meaning you just need to check-in 30 minutes before your scheduled run time for inspection.
RUN PROCEDURE: Through our online registration we schedule times to reduce the amount of wait time involved with the event. Fast CAT entries are scheduled in Heats of 5 dogs every 15 minutes apart. This allows the participant the flexibility to check in for inspection with the field secretary only 30 minutes prior to their scheduled run.
We try very hard to accommodate those who are participating in other events at the show. If you you are participating in multiple events, it is your responsibility to communicate with the field secretary your possible conflicts so we can work with you.
Please follow all instructions of the field crew in order to ensure a smooth and efficient flow.
Day Of Registrations will be accepted as space allows.
Things you may want to know
for Fast CAT
Here are a few answers to some questions you may have

Who is Eligible to run?
Open to all dogs at least 12 months of age that are individually registered with the AKC or enrolled in the AKC partners program

How FAST is my dog?
Dogs are timed when they complete the 100‐yard dash. The time is converted to
Miles Per Hour (MPH).
FORMULA: 204.545 / RUN TIME = MPH
MPH X HANDICAP = POINTS (ROUNDED TO NEAREST 0.01)

Rolling Inspections
Check-in only 30 minutes prior to your scheduled run time. Heats are scheduled every 15 minutes to minimize wait times.

What Titles can my dog achieve?
Titles are earned at specific point levels and the highest suffix may appear after
the dog’s name:
BCAT = 150 points
DCAT = 500 points
FCAT = 1,000 points
FCAT# = Each additional 500 points

What does Handicap mean?
Based on the dog’s size at the withers, a handicap is applied and points are earned:
• 18” or greater = Handicap is 1.0
• 12” up to less than 18” = Handicap is 1.5.
• Below 12” = Handicap is 2.0.

Do you offer fun runs?
Sorry this is a sanctioned AKC performance event. Dogs earn Titles for their performance in this event and MUST be 12 months or older.
